Dental Health

You will be surprised!! 85% pets are suffering from mild to severe periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is disease of the gums (gingiva - which is a supporting and protective structure for the tooth). Pets can suffer from bad breath, anorexia (inappetance), bruxism (champing of teeth) and other systemic (body system) disease as a result of poor dental hygiene.

We provide comprenhesive oral health assessment and treatment at AHEB. This includes an initial assessment in the exam room and once consented, a detailed assessment. The detailed assessment includes probing the gums for any pathology, dental x-rays if needed, root canal treatment, dental cavity filling, extractions and or other advanced treatments based on affordability.

Every Year the month of February is celebrated as the dental month for our pets.
